Spreading the Light

The Swan Festival of Lights is held in conjunction with the Indian festival of Deepavali. While it is popularly known as the "festival of lights", the most significant spiritual meaning of Deepavali is "the awareness of the innerlight", light being a symbol of hope, peace, harmony, knowledge, joy, truth and unity.

The Swan Festival of Lights strengthens and celebrates that bond which connects us, through music, dance and art so as to help us promote the theme of 'light' and engage the wider community, electronic candles will be sold during the Festival.

All proceeds from the sale of the candles will benefit the Shivanjali Trust, Starlight Children's Foundation, Oxfam, Communicare and the David Wirrpanda Foundation.

Members of the public will be able to purchase this unique gift from the festival.

Community Support

The presenters of Swan Festival of Lights, Temple of Fine Arts and Annalakshmi On The Swan is proudly and lovingly supported by its members and a host of volunteers from its friends in the community, making this a true community event.
